Tianjin Customs Seizes Paradise Bird, Hawksbill Turtle from within Luggage

A few days ago, Tianjin Customs-affiliated airport officers seized 10.7 kilograms of animals, plants and relevant products, including hawksbill turtle, paradise bird, Java deer, seal and gorgonian, from within a passengers luggage.

 

Hawksbill turtle and paradise bird are both entry and exit restricted endangered species in Appendix I and of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

 

Tianjin Customs reminds that entry and exit passengers should be in advance aware of the articles prohibited or restricted in entry and exit to avoid trouble with clearance. For more information, please call customs hotline 12360 for consulting service.
