In the early morning of November 7, 2017, the General Administration of Customs directed 6 Customs Districts (Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Shantou) to carry out the third round of the “Blue Sky” campaign against solid waste smuggling. As a result, Dalian Customs busted up two smuggling rings, nabbed 7 criminal suspects, 3,800 tons of smuggled waste, as well as incriminating documents and computer files.

This year, Dalian Customs has criminally investigated 7 smuggling cases and has arrested 26 criminal suspects as well as seized 34,342.4 tons of solid waste (including waste plastic).
