Department of Supervision on Inspection takes the responsibility of studying and formulating provisions, regulations and technical measures of import and export commodities inspection, supervision and management, and list of import and export commodities inspection categories, organizing the implementation of legal inspection over import and export commodities, organizing the implementation of management and examination on the import license of civil commodities that are guided under the system of import license, examining and approving the appropriate exemption from inspection for commodities that should be inspected and quarantined according to the law, conducting reexamination, management and sampling test, organizing the implementation of inspection and quarantine over normal packages of products and packages of risky products, organizing the implementation and coordination of inspection and quarantine work over transportation means and containers, supervising and administering the surveying of imported and exported commodities and the value of foreign-invested assets, conducting the examination, approval, supervision and administration over the agencies engaged in import-export product inspection and appraisal according to the law.
