[Wu Yirong]: A passenger entering Hengqin through the first line is allowed to carry articles such as currency and gold which are still supervised according to the existing regulations on the luggage and articles of inbound and outbound passengers. In the regulation, an inbound or outbound passenger is allowed to carry up to RMB 20,000. If he carried more than USD 5,000, he must declare it to the customs. The weight of gold carried by an inbound or outbound passenger should be within the reasonable range for his own use. The Customs levy duty on gold at value of more than RMB 5,000. [Zhou Xiaolei]: According to regulations, citizens in the mainland and in Macao SAR do not enjoy the duty exemption policy when they import cars, but Macao citizens in compliance with relevant regulations of Guangdong Province can apply for quota of car with Guangdong and Macao license plates. Macao vehicles with the single license plate are allowed to run in Hengqin through the “first line” and within Hengqin only. Specific regulations on Macao vehicles with the single license plate entering and exiting Hengqin are still under discussion between the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Government of Macao SAR. 03/21/2014 11:15:53
