[Wu Yirong]: Where passengers go to Macao SAR through the first-line port in Hengqin, they need to complete relevant entry-exit formalities according to the existing entry-exit administrative measures. Hengqin Port and Macao SAR are linked by Lianhua Bridge on land. When the customs clearance is complete, passengers can take bus or taxi to go to Macao SAR from Lianhua Port in Macao. [Wu Yirong]: In order to ensure the stable supply to markets in Macao SAR and its needs for livelihood development, the Customs makes customized measures to facilitate customs clearance such as centralized customs declaration and door-to-door inspection and release as to the export business of supply of special goods such as water, electricity and gas to Macao SAR. Priorities are given to the document verification, inspection and release of fresh and live goods. The customs also establish the 24-hour on-duty system and booking services and releases goods after they arrive to ensure “zero retention” of fresh and live products for Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR at customs. In 2013, Gongbei Customs inspected and released 140,000 tons of fresh and live products for Macao SAR, more than 4 billion of kWh of power and more than 86 million tons of raw water, which means that more than 230 kg of fresh and live products, more than 6,700 kWh of power and more than 140 tons of water are inspected and released for every Macao citizen the year. In addition, Gongbei Customs are also responsible for supervising the pipeline natural gas to Macao SAR from the mainland of China. Since 2013, 772,000 Nm3 of natural gas in total are inspected and released to Macao SAR. Now the daily natural gas inspected and released to Macao SAR is about 3,000 Nm3, which mainly satisfies the demand of Macao residents and the new UM campus. 03/21/2014 11:46:51
