[Liu Weiwei]: The State has express stipulations on how the Customs dispose of the confiscated materials. The public auction is the major method. However, the prohibited articles confiscated by the Customs cannot be auctioned, and they are subject to other regulations otherwise stipulated by the State. Those confiscated goods for which auction is not applicable may be disposed of in approaches such as being sold to target person or organization, transferred to the competent state authority, donated, or destroyed according to the law. According to regulations, endangered animals and plants and their products, drugs, weapons, and reactionary propaganda materials cannot be auctioned. [Liu Weiwei]: The jurisdiction scope of Jinan Customs District now covers 3 ports including Weifang, Dongying and Binzhou as well as the Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, which are ports opened to outside except for Binzhou Port that is still under application. In 2014, our Customs will implement the strategy of development by virtue of ports so as to fully promote the development of port trade within the jurisdiction. We will enhance the interactive development of Jinan Aviation City and the Comprehensive Free Trade Zone following the “one district and two areas” pattern. 05/09/2014 11:34:31

[Liu Weiwei]: According to the relevant state regulations, if a person exiting China carries foreign currency cash of not more than the amount equal to USD5,000, he is not required to apply for the Permit for Carrying Foreign Exchanges, and he shall be released by the Customs; if a person exiting China carries foreign currency cash of more than the amount equal to USD5,000 but not more than USD10,000, he shall apply to the designated foreign exchange bank for the Permit for Carrying Foreign Exchanges, and the Customs shall inspect and release him upon checking the Permit for Carrying Foreign Exchanges affixed with the seal of the designated foreign exchange bank. If the amount carried by a person exiting China is more than the amount equal to USD10,000, he shall apply to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange at the locality of his deposit bank or exchange-selling bank for the Permit for Carrying Foreign Exchanges. 05/09/2014 11:36:18
