[Xu Minghai]: Kunming Customs District has delegated the examination and approval authority of tax reduction and exemption to the local subordinate customs house of each port. In this way, the customs clearance efficiency is improved, and the enterprises' operation costs are reduced. Currently, 15 subordinate customs houses in the Kunming Customs District can handle the tax reduction and exemption for substitute plantation, namely, Ruili, Mengding, Banna, Wanding, Mangshi, Tendchong, Dali, Simao, Daluo, Mengla, Yingjiang, Zhangfeng, Nansan, Menglian and Cangyuan customs houses. [Ma Jun]: Firstly, I suggest your company to apply for registration of the trademark right with GACC as soon as possible. You can apply for the registration with the Department of Policies and Legal Affairs of GACC through the Portal of China Customs: www.customs.gov.cn. Within 30 days upon receipt of your application, the Department of Policies and Legal Affairs of GACC will decide whether to approve the registration. If the registration is approved, the information of your company's trademark right will be viewed by each customs inspector all over the country via the network. When a customs inspector finds any goods infringing upon the intellectual property right of your company are being imported or exported, the Customs will send a written notice to your company, requesting your company to confirm whether the intellectual property right of your company is infringed. If the confirmation shows that there is no infringement, the Customs will release the goods; if the confirmation shows that there is infringement, your company shall send a written application to the Customs and pay a certain amount of security bond for detention of the goods by the Customs. Then the Customs will start the investigation procedure, and determine whether the goods have infringed upon the intellectual property right of your company and handle the case within 30 working days. 06/05/2014 10:24:19
[Ma Jun]: Secondly, before GACC approves the application of your company, if you have any information that other enterprises intend to or are exporting or importing motor products which are suspected of infringing upon the trademark right of your company, you can submit a security bond equivalent to the value of such goods to the Customs at the place of the import or export, and apply in writing for the detention of such goods. After the Customs detain the suspect infringing goods, no investigation is started, and the parties concerned shall file a lawsuit to the people's court to determine whether the infringement is established. 06/05/2014 10:25:11

[Ma Jun]: All the residents in border areas can engage in the exchange trade between border residents by holding effective certificates. In normal cases, the residents who engage in the exchange trade between border residents in their living places or residential places can enjoy the state preferential policies.
