“QuanYuTong” Brings Steady Growth to Sichuan’s Foreign Trade
[Ni Zao]: Enterprises can now choose the customs themselves clearance model based on their goods routes and production methods. They can choose where to make declarations and where to have the goods released. This makes the whole customs process much simpler for enterprises, reduces logistics costs, and avoids having to make unnecessary detours during transport. Customs' management resources will optimize their arrangements based on the needs of enterprises. For instance in our customs district, since the reforms, with the "Integration of Free Trade Zones and Ports" we have simplified 10 steps in the customs process, saving enterprises around 150 yuan per shipment. 06/25/2014 10:39:30
[Anon]: It's not started yet, I'm still waiting. The interviews have been really interesting recently, and easy to understand. I have a question. Why does Sichuan have a customs if it doesn't border a sea? 06/25/2014 9:51:01
[Ni Zao]: Customs is a national agency which manages and supervises the flow of goods in and out of a country. The agency develops based on a region's export-oriented economy and foreign exchanges. The more foreign exchanges there are and the faster the regions' export-oriented economy develops, the country will consider establishing customs administrations to help support the area and help its development. It has nothing to do with the sea. Although Sichuan doesn't border a sea, Sichuan's residents still make international trips for vacations or to visit relatives, and the province also has enterprises engaged in foreign trade, therefore the country established a customs district in Chengdu to manage the whole province's entry and exit activities. 06/25/2014 10:40:47
[Anon]: Since "QuanYuTong Brings Steady Growth to Sichuan's Foreign Trade", will it be easier to travel abroad? What has been made easier? (From Tencent Weibo) 06/25/2014 9:36:33
[Ni Zao]: "QuanYuTong" is focused on the integration of customs clearance for goods, not for passengers. However, we do have a number of measures aimed at making things easier for passengers. We hope you will choose Chengdu as your port for traveling to and from. We have plenty of flights and routes; we have 76 international flight routes covering the whole globe. 06/25/2014 10:41:32
[Ge An Hua]: Can you put a link to the logistics enquiry platform on the Chengdu Customs District website?
[Ni Zao]: Yes, we can. 06/25/2014 10:43:01
[Sichuan Girl]: In future can we check the status of customs logistics on the Sichuan shared logistics platform? I advise you to make sure there are plenty of possible search parameters. Can you tell us the web address for it?
[Ni Zao]: Yes, you will be able to. But it's still under construction. When it's finished we will announce the web address. 06/25/2014 10:44:18
[Anon]: How long roughly does the customs process take from Chongqing to Shuangliu Airport?
